The bachelor's degree program "Mechanical Engineering" has been offering the specialization "Technical Design" for almost two years. As part of a project, Martin Lobenwein and Daniel Dörfler developed a "generatively designed frame" for a mountain bike of the "Fully" type.
The regional media Carinthia brought a detailed report in all districts of Carinthia on May 3, 2023. We sincerely thank MAKERSPACE CARINTHIA and the regional media for the great coverage.
The bike project was created in cooperation with MAKERSPACE CARINTHIA. The final frame was produced using the 3D printing process. The result is an innovative mountain bike designed with the latest technology. The MAKERSPACE CARINTHIA is a "workshop for all". Here, 3D prints can be made easily and cheaply using professional machines.
Andrea Baum conducted an interview with the project team.
