The department of Finance and Controlling is the contact for all business matters of the FH Carinthia. The tasks of Controlling are to provide the FH Carinthia with a basis for business decisions and to support the organization in its strategic adaptation to the environment in the tertiary education sector. Controlling prepares the commercial planning documents for new study programs, courses and research projects and carries out the business preparation for investments in the infrastructure area.

The staff of the Controlling Department design the budgeting processes for the business areas in teaching, research and continuing education. The cost accounting department creates the basis for the management of the study areas and the allocation of funds for the service and administrative areas.

Project controlling supports the research, continuing education and infrastructure activities of Carinthia University of Applied Sciences. With the help of business analytics, key figures for ongoing operations as well as analyses and reports for organizational development are created from the FH Kärnten's operational data processing and statistics. The tasks of the Finance department include ensuring the liquidity of UAS Carinthia, communicating with the funding agencies of the federal government, the state of Carinthia and the cities where UAS Carinthia is located, as well as soliciting funding from project partners and funding agencies.
