5 years of honing virtual communication skills in English with peers from Switzerland.

One of the key competencies of intercultural managers is their ability to communicate in English in the virtual space with non-native language speakers from different cultures. This experiential virtual exchange opportunity, integrated into the second semester, exposes ICM learners to the real-world challenges of virtual communication across time, space, languages and culture. Students work in small virtual teams to practice giving and receiving constructive feedback before then agreeing on a list of guidelines on how to communicate effectively in the virtual space.

This year we celebrate five years of collaboration of Fachhochschule Kaernten (Austria) and FHNW School of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geomatics (Switzerland) coordinated by ICM Director of Studies Janet Brown together with Catherine Shultis!
