The students
- have a broad overview and understanding about state-of-the art technologies and methods for environmental data acquisition
- are able to plan and implement successfully an environmental geodata acquisition project with selected GI technologies
- are able to post-process, integrate and visualize the practically collected geodata together with data from other sources in a GIS

- Principles of Crowd Sourcing and Volunteered Geographic Information
- Photogrammetry
- Aerial and satellite-based remote sensing
- Laser scanning
- Principles of the Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and applications
- Principles of Unmanned Aerial Systems ("UAS"; "Drones")
- Integration, manipulation and visualization on open source GIS
