Upon successful completion of the course, students can
• compare and contrast cultural data, using appropriate language.
• practice empathic and active listening and trust-building strategies in professional communication to promote effective cross-cultural (virtual) communication, including giving constructive feedback, sharing opinion, encouraging discussion and dealing with misunderstandings.
• deal effectively with communication problems and cultural issues that arise in online collaborative or transactional exchanges, by adjusting their language appropriately.
• establish a supportive environment for sharing ideas and practice
• summarize in writing the main points made in spoken or written informational texts regarding subjects of personal interest.
