Students can describe the various phases a start-up company has to go through. They can explain the fundamental principles of digital innovation, as well as identify the challenges and resulting steps for internationalizing a start-up company. They can name and implement start-up principles for traditional companies.

Start-up companies are of interest to traditional companies for several reasons: (1) They frequently offer opportunities for digital transformation and (2) they use new forms of internal organization and HR management. Thus, discussing these topics is necessary for all companies in the process of digital transformation.
