The students have knowledge about advanced design of transportation infrastructures, particularly with regard to road design and construction technologies
Students know the most innovative approaches to the geometric design based on car driving simulations in virtual reality, aimed to improve road safety. They understand the plano-altimetric coordination issues and they can elaborate appropriate design solutions.
Students know the high-performance materials and they understand how to use advanced technologies for the construction of road pavements. They have knowledge and full understanding of the main failure mechanisms of asphalt concrete and they can rationally design bituminous pavements.
