Health education and preventive medicine are parts of the training programme for obtaining evidence of formal qualifications in midwifery.

Students shall build on their previously gained knowledge and focus on different cultures in the international context and how to approach these differentiality in their field of activity. They shall consider various historical, social, cultural and individual circumstances and develop concepts and methods to understand and explain working procedures to various families. Students shall get the opportunity to compare the international framework of midwifery tasks. Also, students shall use relevant preventive health promoting projects and strategies to improve their own environment. They shall get introduced to networks, organizations, international obstetric practice, latest developments and different challenges. The focus of the class is set on the international exchange and networking.
