The students have a detailed knowledge in the field of actuators and electric drive technology.
They are familiar with the most important types of electric drives, e-standard machines and know the use of frequency converters.
They have the ability to select, parameterize and use application-specific electrical drives or actuators.
They are especially familiar to understand deal with small and medium machines, linear drives, simulation and modelling examples.

Fundamentals of electrical standard machines, drive arrangements.
Basics of important actuators, specials in electro-magnetic ones - seen in pneumatics and hydraulic dynamics.
Standard PMGM machine in detail, calculation and applied parameter charting, modelling and virtual simulation with evaluation in real tests.
Frequency converter-guided ASM & SM, in particular PMSM.
Small engine evaluation, BLDC, shaded pole, universal, stepper motor
Control and operating characteristics, operation of drives.
