Upon successful completion of the course, students will know:
- the basic life cycles and their influence on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
- the concept of PLM as a software solution
- the concept of PLM as a strategic business approach
- the opportunities of Lifecycle Assessment in combination with PLM
- the creation of the Lifecycle Impact Assessment
- the connection of PLM/LCA and risk management
- the prerequisites for the implementation of risk management strategies in PLM and supply chain design
- the design options of sustainable supply chains in the context of the strategic enterprise approach PLM
- classify the topic of PLM and evaluate it as a strategic management approach
- operate Siemens Teamcenter as a PLM software solution
- explain lifecycle assessment and its implications and possibilities
- understand the connections between PLM and risk management, also in the supply chain
- Basics of life cycle concepts and their influence on the product life cycle
- PLM as an integrative IT system (Siemens Teamcenter)
- PLM as a strategic corporate concept
- Approaches for the implementation of PLM in terms of sustainability
