In the Master's Thesis Seminar, students identify a research area relevant to the field of applied data science, which they develop into a master's thesis. They:
- define research questions and aims relevant to applied data science
- select appropriate methods to answer a research question
- Write up an exposé meeting the following requirements:
- - emphasis on the topic's practical relevance
- - concise and clearly expressed introduction and critical discussion of the selected research methods
- - development of a coherent thesis outline
- - identification and definition of the scope of the secondary literature
- Present the thesis topic to an audience
- Literature study & review
- Methodical research & documentation structure
- Research questions & hypotheses
- Selected topics depending on Master thesis
