In the Master's Thesis Seminar, students identify a research area relevant to the field of applied data science, which they develop into a master's thesis. They:

  • define research questions and aims relevant to applied data science
  • select appropriate methods to answer a research question
  • Write up an exposé meeting the following requirements:
  • - emphasis on the topic's practical relevance
  • - concise and clearly expressed introduction and critical discussion of the selected research methods
  • - development of a coherent thesis outline
  • - identification and definition of the scope of the secondary literature
  • Present the thesis topic to an audience

  • Literature study & review
  • Methodical research & documentation structure
  • Research questions & hypotheses
  • Selected topics depending on Master thesis
