Upon the successful completion of the Language Immersion Course Slovene 3, students will acquire the following competencies related to the Slovene language:

  • understand advertising
  • draft a job advert
  • present a chart/graph
  • give tips and recommendations
  • converse about the following topics: clothing, food and drink, weather, accommodation, home
  • talk about a selected topic
  • give their opinion
  • give reasons for their point of view
  • defend their standpoint in a discussion.

This is a language course for slightly advanced students with basic knowledge of Slovene (at CEF level A2-B1). The following language topics will be covered in this module:

  • Advertising and job adverts
  • Everyday conversation topics (clothing, food and drink, weather, accommodation, home)
  • Grammar (5th and 6th cases, conditional, modal verbs, comparison of adjectives)
  • Opinions (comparison, intention, criticism, praise, disagreement)
  • Selected topics from the fields of work, politics, business, regions, environment, sports and culture
