Upon the successful completion of the Language Immersion Course Slovene 3, students will acquire the following competencies related to the Slovene language:
- understand advertising
- draft a job advert
- present a chart/graph
- give tips and recommendations
- converse about the following topics: clothing, food and drink, weather, accommodation, home
- talk about a selected topic
- give their opinion
- give reasons for their point of view
- defend their standpoint in a discussion.
This is a language course for slightly advanced students with basic knowledge of Slovene (at CEF level A2-B1). The following language topics will be covered in this module:
- Advertising and job adverts
- Everyday conversation topics (clothing, food and drink, weather, accommodation, home)
- Grammar (5th and 6th cases, conditional, modal verbs, comparison of adjectives)
- Opinions (comparison, intention, criticism, praise, disagreement)
- Selected topics from the fields of work, politics, business, regions, environment, sports and culture
