- Students can analyze basic electronic circuits by using large-signal and small-signal model representation with hand-calculations and SPICE simulators (like Cadence Spectre).
- Students have a detailed understanding of the function and they are able to design basic transistor circuits like switches, current mirrors, single-transistor amplifiers and differential amplifiers.
- They can design and optimize amplifiers and comparators for a specified large-signal and small-signal circuit performance.
- They can formulate important non-idealities of analog integrated circuits like offset, common-mode rejection, power-supply rejection.
- Students know specific layout and technology related effects, like mismatch, cross-talk, ESD and how to improve them.
