The Students

  • can describe the objectives and purpose of cost accounting.
  • are able to explain the basic terms and concepts of cost accounting.
  • describe the relationship between the various accounting parameters.
  • name cost types, classify them and give examples for each category.
  • apply various cost allocation methods to cost centers and are able to interpret the results.
  • work out the relationship between cost center and cost unit accounting and can apply different cost unit accounting methods.
  • can explain the purpose and methods of decision-oriented cost accounting.
  • apply selected instruments of partial cost accounting and assess the results.
  • evaluate different decision alternatives, taking cost aspects into account.
  • assess the impact of digitalization on cost accounting.
