The students know the basics of modern power electronics. They are able to understand, to describe and to analyze the static and the dynamic behavior of the most used converter types.
They understand the functionality of the power stage, the switches and the magnetic components of a converter.

Power electronics basic circuits (Buck, Boost Converter, Syncron converter Fly-Back Converter.
Active and passive circuit components (MOSFET, IGBT, R, L, C, ...)
Modelling and Simulation of static and dynamic behavior
Application examples in different fields (automotive, industrial ...)
