Students know the connections, causes, and effects of digitalization and can define digitalization in both a narrower and a broader sense. They are able to describe the technological causes and the related principles. They know the methods to assess the level of digital maturity and are able to use them to assess a company's digital maturity.

Initially, the students will have differing levels of knowledge regarding the topic of digitalization. This knowledge base is to be homogenized in this course. The various definitions are taken into account and the standard terminology for the entire program is covered. The focus is on imparting a comprehensive view which includes technological as well as economic aspects.
