Students have a basic understanding of IoT systems and their underlying architectures and protocols. They are able to understand the interaction of the different architectures and protocols.

The course gives an introduction about the most important areas and terms of IoT.
The course includes the following contents:

  • IoT Basics
    • Basic terms
    • Constrained Devices
    • Trends in the field of IoT
  • Basics of IoT architectures
  • Overview of protocols / stacks
  • Interaction of HW and SW components
