On successful completion of the course, students:
- have gained both practical and theoretical knowledge and understanding of intercultural teamwork
- have developed awareness of and reflected upon their own and other cultural values
- understand the role cultural dimensions play in intercultural team communication
- can apply flexible communicator skills
- can recognize interculturally (in)competent behavior
- can analyse and reflect on intercultural teamwork situations and apply strategies to resolve issues of conflict and misunderstanding
- demonstrate an open attitude and curiosity
- have developed skills to effectively lead intercultural teams

- What is intercultural teamwork?
- How do cultural differences impact team interaction?
- The challenges and opportunities presented by intercultural teamwork
- Dealing with misunderstandings and conflict in intercultural teams: the importance of communication
- Leading intercultural teams
- Constructivist foundations of intercultural communication;
- Knowledge paradigms; intercultural consciousness and perceptual agility;
- Intercultural principles and observational frames; communication styles;
- Developing intercultural competence - the Developmental Model of intercultural Sensitivity

- Collaboration and participation in class, case study analysis on an intercultural business scenario (group assignment) (30 %)
- Individual digital stories (30 %)
- Group (virtual) presentation (20 %)
- Written reflection paper based on the Development Model of Intercultural Management (20 %)
