Students are able to

  • model functional prototypes.
  • create first prototypes, depending on the problem.
  • apply combinations of analog and rapid prototyping methods in design models.

Presentation content is based on the project in "Design and Construction" and is coordinated with the responsible lecturer.

  • Use of CAD / plan drawings to create prototypes
  • Analog modelling of functional prototypes
  • Analog modelling of design models
  • Analog modelling of free-form surfaces (clay modelling, yellow foam modelling)
  • Cutting techniques, finishing techniques (filing, drilling)
  • metalworking, welding, drilling, sawing, edging)
  • Laserschnitt
  • 3D Printing (Introduction to FDM Printers, Introduction to SLA Printing)
