The students
- are able to analyze the surface technology according to material engineering aspects.
- know about surface characterization, surface treatment and surface coating, surface metrology, dimensional tolerances, inspection and quality assurance.
- understand the physical and materials science aspects of tribology, to link them with the technical fields of application in mechanical engineering (production technology, manufacturing technology) and to take them into account correctly in design tasks.
