Students know the basics of bus systems, their distinguishing features, application areas and classification criteria.
Students know about the requirements of automotive bus systems.
Students know the used protocols CANopen as well as PROFIBUS PA, DP.
Students are able to design and test simple CAN bus, FlexRay or LIN bus networks via CANoe.
Students are able to see and use the CAN bus and the PROFIBUS in industrial applications and to understand their application in metrology and image processing applications.
