The students are familiar with the terms purity, clean room, cleanroom technology and know their interdisciplinary importance in general as well as strategic plant engineering.
Students can distinguish between general technical and aseptic technologies.
They know the requirements and specifications for the structural realization of cleanroom facilities and processes.

Basics of cleanroom technology:
Clean room facilities (ball room, isolator technology, RABS, minienvironments, LF systems and BSC-1/2)
Clean room components (wall-ceiling-floor), filter systems
Cleanroom aspects of the following topics:
Handling and transport systems
Cleanroom-friendly behavior, clothing
Cleanroom cleaning, supply and disposal, hygiene and microbiology
Active and passive load calculation
Thermodynamics/Flow Dynamics
Air conditioning (HX calculation/calculation of ventilation systems)
Construction technology for plants and processes
Material and personnel logistics
Measurement technology (particles and microbiology in the room and on surfaces), monitoring, electrostatics
Technical and toxic media
FDA & GMP compliance
Basic planning of simple systems
