Students are familiar with the tasks and issues of industry-related research. They are able to

  • recognize the importance of applied research as a competence acquisition,
  • research and evaluate relevant literature,
  • apply different research methods in a practical way,
  • evaluate the methods applied,
  • evaluate and assess (research) results,
  • summarize results in written form (report or paper).

The module covers exemplarily the following topics/contents (defined by the ongoing projects and questions of the respective research group):

  • Literature research on given questions of the research group or a research project
  • Development of a research question
  • Recording and evaluating measurement data on empirical studies
  • Participation in project meetings
  • Preparation of a report or paper
  • Assisting in the preparation of a research proposal

Active participation in research projects, publications, conference organizations, funding applications, and other research activities, supervised by project or research group manager.
