Health education and preventive medicine are parts of the training programme for obtaining evidence of formal qualifications in midwifery.

Students shall learn about the health care system in Austria, how to maintain public health, find answers to socio-medical questions, be able to provide health education and any preventive measurements. Students shall know the health science models, concepts and theories of health and diseases

Structure of the health care system in Austria, preventive medicine, the support and supply systems, health economics, analysis, development and trends, diagnostic measurements, therapy, rehabilitation and health promotion will be discussed in this class.
