Students develop a general understanding of social discourses and their dynamics. They realise how different ranges of topics (e.g. aid, punishment, work, poverty, healing, order, freedom) undergo a recurrent social thematisation and problematisation. They can relate these topics to discourses of Social Work and understand how these topics are reflected in current theories of Social Work.
