Students understand how they are influenced by, and simultaneously shape, their socio-cultural environment. They have an understanding based on recognition of cultural differences and diversity. They analyse the handling of health/illness/ body in inter-cultural comparison and develop a sense of inter-cultural conditioned differences and conflicts. They develop strategies of transcultural dissemination and culturally sensitive forms of interaction.

On the basis of the "broad" definition of culture to cultural studies, as well as current developments (cultural turn, trans-culturation) and the analysis of their adherence to culture-related, aspects of intercultural thinking and acting are imparted. Strategies for inter and trans-cultural dissemination are discussed and illustrated examples are given (care drain and care migration, migration and health promotion/disease treatment, trans-cultural care and competence. Trans-cultural organisational development and working in/with multicultural teams. Diversity management.
