Students are familiar with central theory discourses of Social Work with their basic terms and statements as they are addressed in current theory discourses of Social Work. They know how to relate them to contents of "classical" approaches, terms and questions of Social Work and classify them regarding their different ways of interpretation. Students recognise correlations between the theory development of Social Work and the development of other sciences.
Students are capable of reflecting historical social and mentality backgrounds of selected theories of Social Work and recognise correlations between social challenges and the development of Social Work as a discipline and profession.

Completion of the course "Transformative Science, Citizen Science and Social Work"

Current theory discourses of Social Work are outlined, discussed and questioned with regard to their central approaches, terms and questions. They are correlated with "classical" approaches and are discussed in terms of their subsequent content. Correlations to discourses of other sciences are illustrated and classified against the background of social development, including its history of social and mentality implications.
