The new scientific journal Carinthia Nature Tech is being developed as part of a long-term collaboration between the Natural Science Association for Carinthia and Carinthia University of Applied Sciences.

With a cooperation agreement, the Natural Science Association for Carinthia and Carinthia University of Applied Sciences are establishing a long-term collaboration. The association publishes the journal Carinthia II, which is one of the oldest scientific journals in the German-speaking world. Carinthia II will be expanded to include an international edition focusing on technologies for recording and monitoring biodiversity. The new branch is called Carinthia Nature Tech and will be peer-reviewed and published in English. It is intended to offer career-relevant publication opportunities, particularly for young scientists.

The cooperation agreement was signed on 15 November 2023 by the President of the Natural Science Association, Dr Helmut Zwander, and the Managing Director of the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, DI Siegfried Spanz.
