The project spans key regions, addressing challenges such as sustainable management and the impacts of climate change. Its goal is to establish climate-resilient forest corridors for large carnivores by developing monitoring tools, improving forest connectivity, and promoting capacity and cooperation amongst stakeholders. Outputs include jointly using monitoring tools, guidelines for ecosystem preservation, and strategic guidelines for climate-smart forest management. The project emphasizes a strong partnership with diverse stakeholders for a comprehensive approach. Post-project sustainability and transferability are ensured through collaborative networks, contributing to enhanced biodiversity protection in the Danube Region.
