It has been a while since our exciting event on 14 May, the 1st International Science Slam at the Kulturhof in Villach (Austria). Eleven researchers and students from the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences (CUAS) and its partner universities from the ATHENA Alliance went on stage, presenting and even performing their research projects in an unconventional manner.

The venue was packed with a highly heterogeneous and research-passionate audience from Villach and its surroundings. Its members were not relegated to mere bystanders but instead became protagonists in the spectacle. They motivated the presenters through their applause, engaged in the researchers’ presentations, and finally, became jurors to elect the evening’s best contribution.

The entire video of the International Science Slam and the winner’s contribution, “About trust and control in medical imaging” (in German), are finally out and can be watched on YouTube. Watch, relish, and prepare for the second edition next year!
