If I’d have one sentence to describe the IBM program, I’d say: “Growing as an international person and having fun in the meantime!” :)
After my Master’s studies, I feel competent at handling the challenges of my working environment and I feel ready to take on the world. I really loved that FH Kärnten allowed studying and developing myself without putting enormous pressure on me. For me it was very important to have a “working smart, not hard” approach which the Villach campus absolutely guaranteed. Having lessons embraced by mountains, next to beautiful lakes, and with people from around the world is all you can ask for.

I believe the greatest values of the degree program are:

  • practical learning (seminars with project works and heated debates)
  • the international community (people from more than a dozen different countries)
  • and continuous development (with the study program getting updated and perfected year after year)!

From the classes, I would highlight “Learning, Thinking, and Problem-Solving Strategies”, “Sustainable Global Management Practices” and the “International Consulting Lab”. Finally, the most unique elements of the IBM program are the EXCURSIONS. In the first  and second semester, we got to visit multiple companies in Austria and neighboring countries and talk to practicing managers and CEOs. During one of these excursions, we visited the company, Knapp AG, which influenced and helped me greatly to pursue a career there.

FH Kärnten, the IBM program, and the devoted work of the program director Dietmar Sternad allowed me to be who I am right now!
