On March 25th and 26th 2025, the Permanent Secretariat members of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Ancient and Primeval Beech Forests of the Carpathians and Other Regions of Europe" gathered in Klagenfurt to discuss the joint work of the Permanent Secretariat.

The meeting focused on preparations for the upcoming online session of the Joint Management Committee, which includes representatives from 18 countries and serves as the decision-making body for the site. Discussions also covered the development of the Multiannual Management Strategy and ongoing activities of the secretariat members.

Together, we are committed to preserving these extraordinary beech forests for future generations.
