PLIDA

The Language Center of the School of Management offers the internationally recognized language examinations of the Progetto Lingua Italiana Dante Alighieri (PLIDA) for Italian at language levels A1 to C2.

Who can take the exam?
The PLIDA Certificate is intended for:

  • students whose mother tongue is not Italian;
  • all Italian citizens with Italian as mother tongue, living abroad and needing a certificate of language competence for study, work or other reasons.

What is the PLIDA Certificate for?
With the PLIDA Certificate you can:

  • enroll in an Italian University without signing up for an entrance examination in Italian (Level B2 or C1);
  • specify in a very transparent way your language competence level in Italian in your CV and in job application forms;
  • register with a professional association to practice certain occupations (e.g., the medical profession);
  • gain a valid alternative to the South Tyrolean bilingual exam, as PLIDA is recognized from the South Tyrolean Administration;
  • obtain a residence permit or a long-term residence permit for non-EU citizens.

Where:
The exam will take place at the Villach Campus of the Carinthian University of Applied Sciences (Europastraße 4, 9524 Villach).
