Inspiring keynote and workshops
In addition to the informative sessions on exchange opportunities and funding for students, there were also valuable workshops for employees. The keynote speech “It does not matter what you do, but what you achieve?” by Uwe Brandenburg from the Global Impact Institute inspired the audience to reflect on the effectiveness of their international activities. In four thematically wide-ranging workshops, discussions were held on the implementation of English as the language of instruction and online collaboration, international recruiting with Joachim Ekström from Uppsala University as well as the research landscape and international cooperation.
The crowning event of the day was the International Evening, where over 25 students from different countries presented traditional dishes from their home countries. Participants had the opportunity to take a culinary journey around the world and try specialties from different cultures. This colorful and lively festival once again underlined the international spirit of our university of applied sciences and promoted cultural exchange in a relaxed atmosphere.
The event was therefore not only a valuable platform for academic exchanges, but also a celebration of diversity and community. We look forward to many more events of this kind!
