After 10 years of making family my priority, I wanted to start preparing myself to re-enter the professional world. With VUCA of today’s world demanding up-to-date approaches to management and leadership, I looked to advanced education to help me prepare for new challenging opportunities. I decided on the International Business Management (IBM) master’s program from CUAS because of its forward-thinking curriculum and because it is instructed entirely in English.
The curriculum is multifaceted and up to date. The design of the course modules is rather organic, for it evolves continuously to provide its students with the skills that are the most valued by companies seeking talents. I am particularly looking forward to data analytics and sustainable management among other courses in the upcoming semesters.
The IBM program has a holistic approach to developing leadership -- intercultural communication skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and financial proficiency were the highlights from the first semester. I also like that the program offers its students customization by choosing between elective classes that best fill their own competency gaps, according to their career path. Learning from not only lectures, but case studies, case challenges and group projects is also a unique aspect of the program, for it encourages learning outside the classroom, which simulates the real world.
The head of the program, Dr. Sternad is extremely passionate and dedicated to driving the success of both the program and its students. Learning from different lecturers from various professional fields was also a real gem! Each lecturer brought their own set of strengths and unique perspectives, allowing us to gain insights on different industries and market trends.
I would recommend this program to anyone that is looking to become a better leader in the business world and better prepare oneself to excel on the international stage. The boutique size of the class of 23 students and 16 nationalities also offers a great opportunity to put your collaboration and communication skills to test.
I am very happy with my choice to study at the IBM program and am looking forward to what is yet to come!
