The aim of the competition is to identify and reward outstanding implementations of nature-oriented construction projects. The award is intended to motivate companies, municipalities, private individuals and cities to implement projects in a nature-oriented and environmentally friendly way.

Eligible construction projects include those that are innovative and successful through the implementation of nature conservation measures or requirements. Any project that improves nature has the chance of winning an award, as long as it takes place in Carinthia.

The Golden Toad Award is a unique opportunity to recognize and promote outstanding achievements in nature conservation in construction.
