Join the Opening Session of Research Supervision Staff Training on March 17, 3-5 pm

The European Universities Office and the Didactic Center are delighted to welcome CUAS staff to participate in the opening session of an international staff training week for research supervisors on March 17, 3-5 pm at Campus Klagenfurt Primoschgasse, Hörsaal 103 (Chicago). Researchers from CUAS, ATHENA partners, and the University of Vienna will discuss current challenges in PhD supervision and the need to reform PhD training.

Program:

  • 3-4 pm: “Publish or perish: How to train your PhD students to publish?” - Keynote by Konstantinos Petridis, Hellenic Mediterranean University
  • 4-5 pm: “Why do we need to reform PhD training?”  Roundtable Discussion with Juan Pablo Herves (University of Vigo), Susanne Weigelin-Schwiedrzik (University of Vienna), Eva Mir (CUAS), Günther Grabner (CUAS, Deniz Sakine Varsavas (CUAS), and Marika Gruber (CUAS)
