My time in Villach was simply wonderful. It had always been my dream to spend a semester abroad, and I couldn't have wished for a better experience than the one I had in Kärnten. My main reason for choosing Villach was Austria’s beautiful nature, which did not disappoint—the mountains, the lakes, and the charming villages all invited me to spend most of my time outdoors.

Additionally, Villach is located in the "Dreiländereck" between Slovenia and Italy, which means you can travel easily and experience more cultures than you might expect. I visited Vienna, Salzburg, Dubrovnik, Bled, Ljubljana, Venice, Florence, and many more places. Everywhere I went, the people were friendly, and I felt safe.
Especially at FH Kärnten, the staff was incredibly welcoming and well-organized. The university offers a variety of different courses, and the professors are highly committed and always willing to help with any questions. FH Kärnten also organizes many events to help students make friends, which made my experience even more enjoyable.

All in all, my time in Villach was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have had it. I will definitely come back.
