Unterrichtssprache Englisch

Students will be able to research, cite their resources and present advanced ESP and relevant topics in English. They can structure a technical report and an academic paper using the IMRAD format. Students can write a project proposal. Students can express academic statements (opinions) and provide evidence to support their various viewpoints and arguments, both in presentations and formal academic writing.

  • SE: English 2 - Technical English and Business Communication

Course contents include the following points:

  • Advanced Academic Writing: e.g. IMRAD format, project proposals, references
  • Academic research paper presentation
  • Expansion of language structure: grammar, academic vocabulary and style, punctuation, syntax
  • Description of research projects conducted in the corresponding degree program (cross-curricular activities) and/or technical devices (depending on ESP-specific group)
  • Technical Terminology review and expansion
