Her ability to bring real-world examples into the discussion helped bridge the gap between theory and practice. Additionally, her insights into the latest trends in project management provided our students with a forward-looking perspective, preparing them for the evolving challenges of the industry.
CUAS prioritizes practice-oriented education, ensuring that students learn from professionals who possess both academic knowledge and hands-on experience. This immersive approach enhances their learning experience and equips them with the necessary tools to thrive in their future careers. Business students integrate these newly acquired insights into their projects, collaborating with five different companies to tackle real-world projects.
The Project Management Module: A Key Element of the CUAS Business Curriculum
Project Management is a fundamental part of the Bachelor's level Business Curriculum at the School of Management, introduced in the 4th semester. Since 2003, this hands-on, application-based learning approach has been a distinctive feature of the program. The Project Management module, worth 6 ECTS, is structured to provide students with a balance of theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
Through this module, students gain a comprehensive understanding of project management tools, methods, and systems during lectures. These concepts are then reinforced through supervised project work, where students collaborate in small groups with real industry clients. This experiential learning model not only strengthens their ability to apply project management concepts in a professional setting but also fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
By working closely with companies on actual projects, students gain firsthand experience in stakeholder communication, project execution, and strategy implementation. This approach allows them to refine their skills, ensuring they are well-prepared to enter the workforce with confidence and competence.
We are proud of our commitment to integrating practical applications into academic learning and grateful to professionals like Mag. Cristina Perc who contribute to this mission. As our students move forward in their projects, we look forward to witnessing their growth and the innovative solutions they will bring to their industry collaborations.
