Last week, the European Association for International Education (EAIE) Conference 2024 took place in Toulouse, in the South-West of France. CUAS was represented by its International Relations Office (Aleksandra Jama, Head of the Office, and Martina Steiner, International Coordinator for Outgoing Students) and its European Universities Office (Mélissa Pebayle, International Officer).

Sharing a booth approximately thirty other Austrian Institutions during the three days of the conference, the CUAS delegation had the opportunity to meet many partners, included from the ACE²-EU and ATHENA alliances. Many sessions held by other alliances and by the European Commission focused on topics related to the European Universities Initiative and best practices from alliances that have already finished their first project cycle and have lots of experiences to share with newest ones.

On the side of the event, representatives from the German, Polish and Spanish ACE partners were invited to join the Austrian Reception on Tuesday evening, to get to know each other better in a convivial and informal setting, and CUAS was offered to attend the Romanian Reception on Wednesday to meet with the Romanian alliance member in the stunning “Stadium de Toulouse”, located on an island in the middle of the city.

The CUAS delegation also spent time networking and meeting with partners from ATHENA, who came in numbers, with representatives from France, Germany, Lithuania, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain and Ukraine.
