In October, a three-day ACE²-EU meeting occurred alongside the International Day at the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences from October 15-17.

Representatives from all eight partner universities of the alliance network traveled to attend this event. In addition to an official meeting of the rectors, presidents, and vice-rectors, the ACE²-EU project leaders and the heads of the International Relations Offices also convened. During all three meetings, important topics were discussed regarding the ongoing preparations for the project launch in November and the initial months of project implementation that will follow.

These included the Kick-Off Meeting from December 9-11 at the University Francisco de Vittoria in Madrid, the nominations for key positions in the project (committees and work package leadership), existing and planned international teaching projects at the various universities and opportunities for ACE²-EU partner involvement, as well as project planning details such as communication channels and additional financial resources for collaborative efforts, and much more. All discussions were highly constructive and productive. In addition, our guests had numerous opportunities to engage informally with staff from academic and service departments at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, as well as with already nominated project staff. Throughout the three days, there was a balanced and cheerful atmosphere, reflecting the general sense of optimism within the alliance.
