After the long-awaited re-opening of the new State Museum of Carinthia last November, the UNESCO Chair is proud to be part of the upcoming special exhibition on biodiversity.

Within this exhibition, CUAS (alongside the ARGE Naturschutz and Department 8 of the State of Carinthia) will be able to present state-of-the-art biodiversity monitoring techniques to a broad audience between the months of May and October 2023 in a specially dedicated room. Impressive, high-definition aerial photography and drone technologies, optical and acoustic automated recording units and their installation in nature, GPS tracking studies of animal behavior, and modern genetic methods for species identification will be presented and their history will be told. Informative video clips will be shown on the scientific and educational possibilities at the UNESCO Chair, while visitors will be able to enjoy a large diorama and remotely steer a drone across the room. The exhibition will open the first week of May 2023.
